The MVV-App is the official app of the Munich Transport and Tariff Association ("MVV") for timetable information and mobile ticketing for the public transport in Munich and the surrounding districts. The app is free of charge and free of advertising!
Regardless of whether it is a regional train, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram or bus. Whether you are in the City of Munich or in the surrounding districts of Dachau, Ebersberg, Erding, Freising, Fuerstenfeldbruck, Munich, Starnberg or northern part of Bad Toelz-Wolfratshausen: With just a few clicks you can reach current departures, connections from A to B in real time as well as current reports on timetable changes and disruptions. You can buy selected tickets on your smartphone within the MVV ticketshop - e.g. single tickets, stripe tickets or day tickets.
By the way: Any reported delays and disruptions are automatically taken into account when calculating the trips.

• Trips:
Find the fastest connection from A to B. Choose your current location, a specific stop, one of many points of interests (POI) or any address in the operation area of MVV as your starting point. Just enter your desired destination the same way. The app shows you appropriate connections by public transport from door to door and provides all important information for your trip. Current delays and disruptions are automatically taken into account when calculating the trip. The MVV-App also provides all relevant tariff information for each connection. No ticket yet? With just a few clicks, you can buy the right ticket in the ticket shop. Secure and fast.
There is also a whole range of further functions. For example, you are able to save your trip to your calendar (and be reminded of it by your device) or share it with friends and colleagues via the messenger of your choice.
If no optimal connection with public transport is found, e.g. in off-peak hours, the MVV-App can also show you altenatives with car/bike-sharing or taxi.
• Departures:
When does the next bus arrive? View departures and arrivals from any stop, at the environment of any address or near your current location. Of course, including real-time forecasts, track and platform information, filter options for means of transport, intermediate stops and our interactive map.
• Disruptions:
In our message overview you will find all planned schedule deviations and known disruptions for each line within the MVV. We take into account all information provided by the responding transport company, reagardless of whether it is by train, underground, tram or bus.
Please note: As yet, most of the descriptions of timetable changes are unfortunately only available in German.
• Tickets:
You can buy selected tickets, such as single tickets, stripe tickets or day tickets (also for groups) with just a few clicks directly within the MVV-App. You can pay safely and conveniently by credit card or direct debit (the expansion of payment methods and the range of available mobile tickets is already planned). As a holder of a season ticket (IsarCard), you can store including tariff zones in the settings - the journey planner will then automatically show whether your IsarCard is sufficient for this connection or an additional ticket is required.
Please note: As electronic tickets are personalized, you have to bring your official photo ID.
• My Bookings (On-Demand-Services)
"MVV-RufTaxi" and "FLEX" arethe name of demand responsive transportation systems. On-demand services provide public transport service in areas and times where a regular bus service is not considered feasible. Passengers have to request a ride in advance, either by our MVV-App, by our journey planner for desktop PCs or by phone. Please note: The given timetables for on-demand services are only approximate times. The exact times may vary depending on capacity.
Simply choose a suitable connection from the journey planner and click on the "Book online" button. Within the menu item "My Bookings" you will then see current information about your booked trip.
• Network plans:
In addition to our classic network presenting the commuter and urban rail system, many other plans - such as the price sheet - are available for download as a PDF. You can open downloaded plans with any PDF reader app anytime. Most of the plans include explanations in English.
• Interactive map:
Where am I? Just click the compass icon to see your current positon. But you will not only find the nearest stop or the right path on our map. If you wish, you can also get information about the current vehicle positions, nearby departures or details about other mobility options such as car- or bike-sharing.
• Settings:
With individual travel settings, you can customize the MVV-App to your needs. What is important to you? Less changes or a faster travel time? Should some means of transport, stairs, escalators, elevators or non-barrier-free vehicles be avoided? Do you want to take your bike with you? In addition to other mobility settings, you can also specify tariff preferences here.
Please note: Settings for mobile tickets and the ticket shop are available under menu item "Tickets".

Internet access is required to use most functions, GPS permission for selected functions only. All information is supplied without guarantee.
Depending on your Android version, you may be asked for access rights when installing MVV-App. We are happy to explain what these additional permissions are required for. But in general, you can also use the app without having to grant these additional permissions (Android 6 or higher). Then only a few convenience functions are not available to you. The location permission enables you to search for stops or travel connections from your current position. Access to photos, media and files allows the use of external memory cards and the temporary storage of map data. Access to contacts saves you typing when buying tickets for passengers and lets transfer data from the address book with just one click.
You can change the permissions in the Android settings. Please also note our data protection declaration.
